To configure Screen Shield, locate Screen Shield icon on a Task Bar and right-click on it. You
will see Screen Shield menu.
If you do not see Screen Shield icon, this means that program is not running. Please start the program though a Windows Start menu or by clicking on ScreenShield.exe
Select Setup Wizard menu.
Click Next button and go through each step of the set-up process. You have to do it for every system where you have Screen Shield installed.

After you finished Set up Wizard on one system, Screen Shield will record almost all information into a
Lock.ini file.
Some settings are keep locally in Windows Registry. If Screen Shield detects that some important information is missing it will show you a set-up Wizard when you start the program.
TIP 1:
To speed up process of setting up other client system you can copy this INI file into
a Screen Shield folder on other client systems. However, you still need to go through a set-up Wizard when
you start Screen Shield for the first time.
TIP 2:
You can create a Master Lock.ini file. With master INI file you can
edit settings for Screen Shield only once and all clients will pick
up changes next time program is started.
- Create shared network folder. There you are going to store
master INI file and any other files (i.e. images if you are
going to use them). Please make sure that client
systems have read/write access to this folder.
- From any of the client systems copy Lock.ini file from Screen
Shield folder into a shared network folder.
- On every client PCs you need to modify
following Key in the Windows Registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\Screen Shield\Settings
Add new string value:
name: "MasterINI"
data : "<path to the network folder >"
For example:
You created ShieldShared folder on a
network PC called Server, so you
need to put following data into a registry for the MasterINI: "\\Server\ShieldShared"
-
If you are going to use graphical images with Screen Shield, you
can save them into the same folder as well.
- Now it's enough to configure Screen Shield on only one PC.
Rest of the client systems will pick up changes next time Screen
Shield is started.
